Natural Harmony - Season 1

An imaginary ecosystem

Nature is beautiful and amazing.

We got inspired by one disposition commonly found in flora: Fermat's spiral. Using this layout, which can be generated following a mathematical formula, we created our own ecosystem of spirals.

Diamond spiral - Design 1

This first creation features a plain Fermat spiral, laying out 512 diamond-shaped "fragments" (or leaves).

Notice how many spirals may be observed, either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Also, pay attention to the effect created by the space between the fragments.

Stamen - Design 2

Highly contrasted black on white, this design is rich while remaining minimalistic.

It features the same layout as design 1 above, but with rounded leaves, instead of a diamond shape, giving a more floral feel to it.

Rolling - Design 3

Rolling is a lightweight and colorful design.

Each fragment has been rotated a bit in order to emphasize the clockwise spiral disposition, giving the motif a more dynamic feel.

Elevation - Design 4

Elevation is about balance and energy.

The gradient flows across a vertical axis, from the blue of the sea, connecting the Earth to the rest of the Universe, to the red of a sunset. Inspiration for this design came after gazing at a magnificent sunset in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, and having a yoga session.

Pacific Twirl - Design 5

Looking at this one is so relaxing. The fragments are colored in a way which does not look regular, but still looks so harmonious.

The color scale of blues has been chosen after the colors of Pacific Ocean in Costa Rica, at mi-day on a sunny day.

Pink and lively - Design 6

This one is a happy flower, which has the particularity to blossom in autumn. It may look fragile, but it's robust enough to survive in urban environments.

People see hearts when they look at its petals.

Available on the following product(s):

Propeller - Design 8

Propeller features a rainbow-like gradient with 11 shades of colors. Each leaf has been assigned to a color based on its position in the spiral, giving this result, and its feel of dynamism.

Viking's wave - Design 9

Viking's wave design reminds of a Triskelion, by highlighting a three-fold symmetry inside Fermat's Spiral. This is the result of coloring its leaves leaves based on where they are as divisors of seven.

Available on the following product(s):

Rainbow 18 - Design 10

Similar to Propeller (design 8), but coloring each leaf out of 18 with a specific color from the rainbow gradient. The result is a more rectilign effect.

Available on the following product(s):

Rainbow 22 - Design 11

Similar to Propeller (design 8), but coloring each leaf out of 22 with a specific color from the rainbow gradient. If you pay attention, you'll notice an interlacing of spirals.
